Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and tracking of operational KPIs, including port productivity, crane splits, and idle times.
  • Drive strategies to optimize bunker consumption in alignment with HQ directives.
  • Play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and accuracy of operational data.
  • Analyze KPIs to identify trends and take proactive actions for continuous improvement.

  • Foster a culture of cost-consciousness and proactive operational practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with agents, ports, and terminals to streamline dispatch processes, reduce port costs, and optimize sailing speeds.
  • Assess and bridge performance gaps to optimize vessel consumption and passage planning.
  • Ensure the accuracy of vessel performance data and reports in the data warehouse.
  • Track actual distances sailed, ensuring vessels are operating at peak performance.
  • Conduct regular cost-saving reviews and report findings to senior management.
  • Participate in monthly performance meetings with HQ to discuss operational efficiencies and savings.
  • Support the Operations Director with KPI presentations, focusing on key metrics like bunker consumption and productivity.
  • Actively manage post-fixture activities, including off-hire and speed claims.
  • Oversee vessel routing provided by weather service providers to optimize sailing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vessel owners to identify and implement performance improvement initiatives.

Who Should Apply?

  • Master Mariner (Class 1 COC) or a professional with extensive seagoing experience in vessel operations.
  • Strong understanding of bunker management, cost control, and vessel performance optimization.
