QA Assistant (Food Safety)

We are seeking a dedicated QA Assistant (Food Safety) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards at assigned locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily on-site inspections, personal hygiene checks, product evaluations, and sample retention.
  • Assist in lab test sampling and follow the testing schedule.
  • Support the updating and implementation of the ISO 22000:2018 manual.
  • Ensure compliance with MUIS Halal Standards, including the application and renewal of Halal certification.
  • Assist in reviewing records, documents, and files.
  • Support internal and external audits, including central kitchen, retail outlets, and supplier audits.
  • Oversee pest control programs, follow up on issues, and ensure rectifications are made.
  • Implement and enhance existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in developing food safety training materials and assessment plans.
  • Identify non-conformances and take immediate corrective actions.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • A-Level, Diploma, or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of SFA regulations, ISO 22000, Halal standards, or other relevant food safety standards.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
  • A team player who is meticulous in work.
  • Willing to work in the West.
