
After School Care Therapist (Special Needs)

The Growing Academy is dedicated to providing quality after-school care and educational support to students with special needs. We work closely with children and youths, helping them develop essential life skills, social abilities, and academic independence in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and care for children and youth.
Assist students with daily living activities, including toileting and showering.
Support students with homework and provide additional academic revision.
Implement and manage behavior strategies to support positive student behavior.
Facilitate social skills activities to encourage peer interaction and communication.
Plan and organize community outings and leisure activities to promote independence.
Requirements:
Experience working with children and youths with special needs (autism, learning difficulties preferred).
Passion for working with special needs individuals in a nurturing and respectful manner.
Ability to assist with personal care tasks (toileting, changing, showering) when required.
Strong communication and behavior management skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Relevant qualifications in Special Education, Psychology, or related fields are an advantage.
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,700.00 per month
