Head, Risk Management /Credit Risk

The primary role of the Head of Risk entails establishing and executing the risk management framework to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks within the financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee risk management directly for Credit, Operational & Technological Risks, and Asset-Liability Management, encompassing the implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the secretary of various committees including the Risk Management Committee, Credit Portfolio Committee, and ALCO, while also being a member of the Operation and Technology Risk Committee and Credit Control Committee.
• Set, validate, and recommend appropriate risk limits in accordance with the company's risk tolerance.
• Supervise departmental staff.

Credit Risk:

• Independently analyze credit proposals from the Marketing Department, propose risk mitigation strategies, ensure loan compliance with lending guidelines, and recommend approval.
• Monitor the credit portfolio through monthly reviews and assessment of external factors affecting it.
• Keep a close eye on both internal and regulatory limits related to credit risk.
• Conduct in-house and regulatory stress tests.

Market & Liquidity Risk:

• Provide analytical insights for presentation to the ALCO.
• Monitor internal and regulatory limits associated with market and liquidity risks.
• Perform stress tests for market and liquidity scenarios.
• Review the Contingency Funding Plan and coordinate its testing.

Operational Risk / Technology Risk:

• Coordinate, review, and report on operational risk-related submissions, including RCSA, KRI, outsourcing, operational risk events, and complaints.
• Review and update the Business Continuity Management framework and plan, overseeing its testing, including BCP Split Operations and BCP Call Tree Exercises.
• Assess risks in alignment with MAS Notices and Guidelines on Technology Risk and collaborate closely with Technology Security Officers.
