Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal / Legal Executive to join our Corporate Practice team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will assist our lawyers with various legal tasks, including due diligence, legal research, document preparation, and translation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in corporate due diligence, legal research, and document preparation.
- Translate legal documents and correspondence between English and Mandarin.
- Manage the document review process by coordinating comments from multiple sources and incorporating modifications under supervision.
- Prepare preliminary and other basic deal documents.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required to handle basic translations and communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Meticulous, able to multitask, and ensure transaction timelines are met.
- Proactive and able to anticipate needs.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
