
Assistant General Manager
As an Asst General Manager you are required to assist the General Manager in driving the business growth strategies while maintaining the organisation’s financial sustainability and profitability. You must be able to make calculated risk-related decisions and perform effectively within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to assist the Branch General Manager in managing the travel business originating from Japan & other region.
- Endorsing and servicing new and existing business and managing delivery of efficient and effective client service.
- Accountable and responsible for the overall service delivery.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with all Travel policy and operational procedures in all markets.
- Accountable and responsible for the execution of agreed projects/initiatives.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails; as well as visiting potential customers to prospect for new business.
- Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
- Gathering market and customer information.
- Representing the organization at trade exhibitions & events.
- Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
- Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in any field (preferably Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent).
- Min. 15 years relevant working experience with in-depth Regional Travel Industry knowledge (Outbound and Inbound Travel)
- Exceptional negotiation and superior communication skills
- Must be able to communicate in Japanese (JLPT N1 Level) in order to effectively communicate with Japanese Clients and Stakeholders
- Must be willing to travel frequently to maintain strategic local and regional networks
- Proven experience in dealing with Customers
- Results driven with exceptional quality focus
- Product planning and design experience.
