
Senior Accountant/ Finance Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to handle full-stack accounting operations across financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and strategic planning. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, deep accounting expertise, and the ability to oversee end-to-end finance functions in a dynamic business environment.
You will play a critical role in managing financial statements, overseeing tax and audit compliance, improving financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Cycle Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliation, inventory management, fixed assets register, and month-end closing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries and financial transactions.
- Perform variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial reviews to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and working capital management.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST, assist with corporate tax, and other statutory reports.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, government filings, and financial reporting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Lead year-end audit preparations, including financial documentation and reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all records meet regulatory standards.
Business Partnering & Financial Strategy
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze financial trends and identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on finance-related initiatives and process automation.
System & Process Optimization
- Optimize the use of ERP/accounting software QuickBooks, PeopleVine, LightSepped, Book4time, Tripleseat.
- Automate manual accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation and continuous improvement of accounting workflows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification is preferred.
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS,and local tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with PeopleVine, LightSepped, Book4time, Tripleseat. (preferred but not a must).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
