QA/QC Executive (Food Distribution)

Job Description: An exciting Quality Assurance/Quality Control Executive role for European dairy company based in Singapore. This is a role for an individual who is proactive and high. Report directly to General Manager
Responsibilities
Quality Systems, Governance (SFA/HALAL) & Regulations
· Stay up-to-date with government regulations (SFA) on Food & Manufacturing, HALAL standards and protocols.
· Interface with external auditors and regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
· Develop, update and implement current Food Safety Management System (ISO22000) and Halal Quality Management System (MUIS) in accordance to standards to ensure products produced meet relevant regulations and certification requirements.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality reports.
· Train and educate warehouse team on quality control measures.
· Updating and maintenance of food safety & hygiene manual, documents and files.
· Maintain records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance activities. Recognise and document any defects or deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions.
· Lead and conduct investigation of customer complaints, maintain investigation log and track investigation closure.
· Liaise with respective departments to address customer complaints by identifying the root cause, verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions and implementing necessary changes.
· Communicate with various respective departments to address quality concerns and implement improvements in product and process standards.
· Develop and conduct appropriate training in all aspects of food quality and safety to ensure compliance to established systems.
· Responsible to issue and complete customer inquiries, questionnaires, COA, product specifications and declarations.
Quality Control
· Perform inspections for incoming/outgoing cargoes based on compliance requirements
· Coordinate and work closely with the pest control provider, ensuring prompt and timely service, reports, and recommendations.
· Assist in investigating product quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
· Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness of facilities and premises are of high standards.
