Job Responsibilities:
- Program CNC machines using MasterCAM to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, ensuring accurate machine calibration and adjustments.
- Perform hands-on machining, including selecting appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for machining processes.
- Ensure proper tooling and fixture selection for efficient and accurate machining.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform quality control checks using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with workplace safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/NITEC in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in CNC programming, machining, or tooling (fresh graduates with relevant skills may be considered).
- Proficiency in MasterCAM for CNC milling and turning programming.
- Hands-on experience in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tooling and fixture design for precision machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards.
- Knowledge of cutting tool selection, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
- Experience in quality inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
