Job Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines using MasterCAM to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, ensuring accurate machine calibration and adjustments.
  • Perform hands-on machining, including selecting appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for machining processes.
  • Ensure proper tooling and fixture selection for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Perform quality control checks using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with workplace safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/NITEC in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in CNC programming, machining, or tooling (fresh graduates with relevant skills may be considered).
  • Proficiency in MasterCAM for CNC milling and turning programming.
  • Hands-on experience in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with tooling and fixture design for precision machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards.
  • Knowledge of cutting tool selection, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Experience in quality inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
