
URGENT: Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Manager
Job Scope
- Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing and assembly processes that optimise production and meet target specifications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production and quality teams to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Conduct detailed analysis to evaluate the manufacturability and assembly feasibility of new product designs
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical expertise and training to manufacturing personnel to ensure adherence to processes and quality standards
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest manufacturing trends, technologies and best practices
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a design for manufacturing and assembly role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.
- Safety Certified, minimum BizSafe Level 2
- Experience in construction materials manufacturing
- Proven track record of successfully implementing innovative manufacturing and assembly processes
- Proficient in process design, industrial engineering, and operations management
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field
