Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented College Counselor to join our team in Orchard, Singapore, with some flexibility for remote work. This role combines expert college counseling with business development, working closely with both students and external stakeholders such as international schools, educators, and counselors to promote Prep Zone Academy’s services.
In addition to mentoring students through the US college admissions process, you will play a key role in developing relationships with partner schools, organizing workshops, and driving new student enrollments. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about education and mentorship but also enjoys strategic outreach and business development.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollege Counseling & Student Success
- Provide one-on-one college counseling to high school students, advising on academic planning, extracurricular strategy, and college applications.
- Guide students in crafting strong college applications, including school selection, personal statements, and interview preparation.
- Offer financial aid and scholarship guidance, ensuring students explore funding options effectively.
- Conduct college admissions workshops, mock interviews, and strategy sessions to prepare students for success.
- Stay updated on college admissions trends and policy changes, sharing insights with students and parents.
Business Development & School Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with international and local schools, educational institutions, and student organizations.
- Develop and deliver presentations, seminars, and workshops at schools to promote Prep Zone Academy’s services.
- Identify new partnership opportunities to expand Prep Zone’s presence in the region.
- Work with the marketing team to enhance outreach strategies and increase student enrollments.
- Represent Prep Zone Academy at education fairs, networking events, and admissions conferences.
- Proven experience in college counseling or related advisory roles, with a strong understanding of US college admissions.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, educators, and students.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with experience conducting workshops or seminars.
- A results-driven mindset with sales or business development experience in the education sector.
- Knowledge of financial aid options and scholarship opportunities for international students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
