Controllership
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including Audit, Tax, GST, Withholding Tax, Treasury and Corporate Secretary matters.
- Responsible for implementation and adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs)
- Review and work closely with Genpact/CFSs on monthly, quarterly, and year end close process, prepare/review monthly journal entries and accruals, GL account reconciliation, statement reconciliation, variance analysis for Singapore entity.
- Ensures appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures, and understanding of GAAP
- Directly support forecasting, performance reporting, month-end close, and tactical analysis for Area/countries, LBE (Latest Best Estimates) process
- Congregate, compile and analyze Quarterly LBEs /Plan and any other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Gather, synthesize and analyze monthly reports relating to Sales, P&L, Balance Sheet, Margin Profitability.
- Devise and publish reports timely and with elevated level accuracy and provide perspicacious commentaries of variances against various benchmarks.
- Track and monitor financial performances, and provide perceptive, insightful commentaries.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement and simplification of financial and business processes.
- Any ad-hoc duties as instructed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 7 years experience in financial/strategic planning, budgeting, and/or forecasting analyses as well as meaningful interactions with tax, treasury and legal.
- Controllership and/or operational finance experience in a commercial region or business unit preferred.
- Sound understanding of US and IFRS generally accepted accounting principles.
- Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional and countries’ relationships.
- Meticulous and commitment to compliance.
- High degree of independence in approach.
- Versatile and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
