Job Description

  • Liaise with customer, design team and supplier to improve plastic part design and manufacturability.
  • Participate in pFMEA activities to mitigate risks arising from plastic manufacturing process.
  • Participate in product transfer activities or new project.
  • Investigate and resolve process, equipment and part issues.
  • Develops manufacturing processes for new products, equipment and set-up.
  • Perform equipment qualification and process validation.
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Implement Engineering changes for improvements (process, NCR, CAPA, complaints).
  • Generate and release technical documents (e.g. BOM, work instructions, Route card).
  • Conduct training for shopfloor personnel.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent. ACT(or equivalent) Certified is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge in plastic molding and plastic material properties.
  • Knowledge of extrusion process is an added advantage.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Problem-solving skill.
  • Good communication and presentation skill.
