Primary Purpose of Role:
Playing a support role to fee earners in the IP and Technology Team. Good opportunity especially for to those looking to transition into the fast-growing IP and Technology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of IP applications globally on online portals.
- Assisting in the management of international and local trade marks, patents and designs portfolios of clients, supporting prosecution work and providing of status reports to clients.
- esponding to client queries and preparing cost quotations
- Communicating with IP registries and foreign associates
- Tracking of deadlines and maintaining client correspondence and file records
- Assisting with general invoicing matters
- Assisting in a supportive capacity in contentious proceedings
- General administrative tasks as and when required.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity in the field of IP and/or with IP filing systems a major advantage, but not a necessity. Training will be provided.
- At least a Diploma in Law/ Legal Studies or equivalent. Candidates with relevant experience in place of these qualifications will also be considered.
- 1 - 5 years' experience in a paralegal or secretarial/ administrative support role
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Team player, with good work ethics and eagerness to take on new learning opportunities
