Primary Objectives of Position

The role is responsible for providing a strong relationship partner and advisor to employees and line managers on all HR-related matters. You will be contributing to AWWA’s Mission by providing tactical and strategic support on people and organisation development strategies in support of the organization’s objectives. You will be performing HR related duties at the professional level while supporting more than one programme/ service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the line managers and employees to enhance positive employee experience, engagement and retention
  • Responsible for hiring and selection processes which include pre-screening, interviewing, job offer; background check and new hires onboarding
  • Guide the line managers with employee relations which include performance management, coaching and feedback, training and development and employee discipline and grievances
  • Be the single point of contact for employees and line managers in providing advisory service on employment and HR related matters in accordance with HR policies and MOM guidelines
  • Partnering with the Rewards and Talent Management team to provide solutions that best fit the employees and service needs
  • Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement to HR processes, systems and communications towards enhancing positive employee and service experience

Job Specifications

  • Degree/ Diploma in Human Resource Management or any relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in a social service agency will be an advantage
  • Independent team player with high initiative and analytical skills
  • Possess strong management skills, high reliability and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
