Reporting to the Head of Digital Transformation & Data, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with business users to document business requirements, draft the RFP, lead the RFP evaluation process by working with Vendors and Business users to select the final vendor.
  • Analyze proposals from Vendors in response to our RFP to review time frame & scope, identify project risks, funding limitations and project management approach & methodologies to ensure it is aligned to our expectations.
  • Work with Vendor project manager to track project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle, and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.
  • Participate in requirement and design discussions, be solution oriented, guide the business users in leading them to the right solution which is aligned to the enterprise architecture and strategy.
  • Participate in technical discussions such as interface and user access design, act as a bridge between vendor, business and our IT team.
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the quality and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the organization.
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure that project goals are achieved.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of project team members / business users to ensure that projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Review the status reports prepared by vendor project manager for accuracy.
  • Report weekly project status to the head of department.
  • Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems (or a related field), project management or general business management. Alternatively, equivalent IT experience. Project manager training and certification is desirable.
  • Eight or more years of IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated competency in a junior or assistant project management role involving the execution of multiple projects or a large project.
  • Three or more years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills”.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others; ability to empathize and knowledge of personality types.
  • Ability to adapt to new circumstances in a changing business environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project-planning tools.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.
