We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong numerical skills to join a reputable commodity trading firm as a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate should be well conversant in preparing for closing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalise monthly management accounts and produce financial statements for quarterly and year-end reporting.
  • Compile monthly finance trade book P&L and balance sheet schedules.
  • Carry out inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare government reports and manage other assigned tasks as required.
  • Strengthen accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Organise and coordinate financial schedules for quarterly and annual audits.
  • Document workflows and evaluate existing processes for improvement.
  • Liaise with HQ for the submission of key performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, including AR, AP, and sales/purchase reconciliations.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Basic tax knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Capable of handling pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
