We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong numerical skills to join a reputable commodity trading firm as a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate should be well conversant in preparing for closing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalise monthly management accounts and produce financial statements for quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Compile monthly finance trade book P&L and balance sheet schedules.
- Carry out inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare government reports and manage other assigned tasks as required.
- Strengthen accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Organise and coordinate financial schedules for quarterly and annual audits.
- Document workflows and evaluate existing processes for improvement.
- Liaise with HQ for the submission of key performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Oversee intercompany transactions, including AR, AP, and sales/purchase reconciliations.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Basic tax knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and SAP.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Capable of handling pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
