Position Overview:

Clifford Capital’s newly established asset management team, Clifford Capital Asset Management Pte. Ltd. (“CCAM”), is seeking a VP/Director, Credit. The individual will be one of the first team member in CCAM’s investment team and will initially report directly to CCAM’s Chief Investment Officer.

CCAM is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (the “MAS”) and holds a capital market service license to conduct fund management activities for accredited and institutional investors. CCAM will focus on launching infrastructure credit strategies in fund, separately managed account and other formats including collective investment schemes. CCAM will invest in range of credit instruments including but not limited to senior credit, subordinated debt/high-yield as well as hybrid instruments.

Primary responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with the origination teams across corporate and investor coverage to identify investment opportunities for a range of CCAM-managed pools of capital
  • Lead and participate in credit diligence including financial modelling and analysis
  • Engage with the primary and secondary market community in partnership with the investor coverage team to establish the Asset Management presence in the market
  • Collaborate with CCAM’s investment committee and senior management team on product development and marketing
  • Partner with client coverage teams on internal credit application process
  • Perform upfront and ongoing relative value analysis and portfolio management activity relevant to various pools of capital
  • Supporting CCAM’s credit solutions teams with investor marketing due diligence activities as maybe required from time to time
  • Over time, taking the mantle of a deal captain and assuming team management responsibilities

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years’ work experience with exposure to portfolio management techniques, including but not limited to hedging and liquidity management tools
  • Strong academic background with demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in credit investing in private credit funds and/or large financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, private credit and APAC markets. Experience and knowledge of markets beyond the Asia-Pacific region would be a plus.
  • Highly organised and motivated. Strong prioritisation capabilities, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interact confidently with senior management and clients.
