Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and eager Junior Production Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will assist in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and participate in safety initiatives.
- Assist in inspecting components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Support the assembly and testing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components based on technical instructions.
- Perform basic wiring, soldering, and cable management tasks under supervision.
- Help calibrate and test robotic systems and components.
- Identify and report basic mechanical, electrical, or software issues during assembly and testing.
- Maintain accurate records of processes and test results.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and reporting shortages.
- Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace by following 5S principles.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers to improve processes and resolve challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Kaizen.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- No prior work experience required, but any internship or hands-on experience in a production or assembly environment is a plus.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Basic wiring, soldering, and cable management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and work instructions.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
