Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Production Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the assembly, subassembly, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic systems, ensure all production activities adhere to safety, quality standards, and work efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and participate in safety initiatives.
  • Inspect components and assemblies to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic components based on technical instructions.
  • Perform wiring, soldering, and cable management, ensuring high-quality connections.
  • Calibrate and test robotic systems and components to meet performance standards.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software issues during assembly and testing.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate records of processes, test results, and modifications.
  • Manage inventory levels, report shortages, and ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace by following 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve challenges.
  • Stay updated on new techniques, tools, and technologies.
  • Support lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and other improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Nitec, Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Diploma: 1 year experience in a production or assembly environment, preferably in robotics or a related industry.
  • Nitec: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a robotics or a related industry.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Strong wiring, soldering, and cable management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to perform 12-hour shifts.
