Communications Intern ( 3 to 6 months - full time )

The Communications Intern will support the Communications & Marketing team in executing various initiatives aimed at strengthening company’s presence, both online and offline. You will be involved in the creation and distribution of content, engaging with stakeholders, and assisting in various communication campaigns that serve the interests of the Chamber and its members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading content for website, newsletters, social media platforms, and other marketing materials.
- Social Media Management: Support the management of social media accounts by posting updates, monitoring engagement, and gathering insights to improve social media strategy.
- Event Promotion: Help promote events and activities through various channels, including email newsletters, press releases, and social media campaigns.
- Internal Communications: Assist in the creation and distribution of internal communications, such as staff memos, newsletters, and briefings.
- Media Relations: Support media outreach efforts, track media coverage, and maintain a media contact database.
- Graphic Design Support: Assist in designing and editing visuals for social media, promotional materials, and presentations (using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.).
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns and social media engagement, providing insights and recommendations.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance for meetings, conferences, and events as needed, including handling logistics, drafting agendas, and taking minutes.
Requirements:
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Experience: Previous internship experience in communications, marketing, or public relations is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Personal Attributes:
