A genuine enthusiasm for working closely with students and a dedicated commitment to fostering student learning are indispensable qualities. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and be proficient in computer applications such as MS Office.Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Course Coordinators and other team members involved in the courses to ensure effective design, delivery, supervision, and assessment that focuses on the students' learning journey.
- Provide support to students during office hours.
- Provide administrative support and assist in the day-to-day running of the course(s), including assessment grading.
- Prepare course-related educational resources and materials.
- Fulfill service role/s within the department.
- Instruct a total of five (5) courses each academic year.
- Support educational-related activities in the department.
- A Cover Letter
- Detailed CV, including education, professional background, teaching and supervision, research activities, honours and awards, and service accomplishments to date. List all academic and non-academic positions. Name and contact of your PhD supervisor (if applicable).
- Scanned copies of academic certificates and transcripts.
- A preface (maximum 300 words) that makes your appointment. This should be a highly distilled summary of your key contribution to student learning and educational leadership, guided by your teaching philosophy.
- A Teaching Statement that focuses on evidence of student learning and educational leadership (if applicable). Examples of consideration that can guide the candidate in making a case for teaching impact and leadership, with a focus on self, students, others, scholarship, future plans.
- Teaching evaluations and peer review reports, if available. Other evidence of teaching excellence and/or other contributions to education e.g. curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, etc. should be provided.
- A Diversity Statement (1 page)
- Able to teach at least three (3) GE/HS/NM-coded courses offered by the department under
