Empire Code Education is a Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) approved private school, with teachers holding MOE approvals and Microsoft Minecraft education certifications to teach in local and private schools.Job DescriptionIntern Coding & Robotics TeacherEmpire Code Education CentreSingaporeJob DescriptionWe are currently hiring interns to join us as Coding & Robotics teachers. As a Teacher, you are expected to provide students with a fun and engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking, while addressing the individual academic needs of each student. Students are aged from kindergarten to secondary school.Roles & Responsibilities- Preparing and delivering computer science and robotic lessons.- A skill for explaining concepts in an engaging manner.- Patience and love for dealing with children of all ages.- Assess student’s learning and provide constructive feedback to students and Parents when required.- Good communication skills, collaborates well in a team. Establishes positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.- Other duties as assigned.Your Requirements- Currently pursuing a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, game design & development, engineering, information systems, mathematics or science.- Candidates who are not pursuing a diploma/degree in the abovementioned specialisations, but who are interested to explore the Tech education sector, are keen to learn programming, or upskill current programming knowledge, are also encouraged to apply.- Experience in coding is not required, training will be provided. A strong interest to learn coding or to develop already acquired coding skills in a Must.- Passion for educating children and if you have teaching experience, it would be a plus.- Experience with teaching students with learning differences and special needs a plus.- Organised and loves working in a fun, engaging team.- Strong communication skills.- Must possess own laptopWork hours5 day work week- 9am- 6pm on weekdays and 8.30am – 5.30pm on weekends.Candidates have to commit to teach on weekends (either 1 weekend or both weekends); If teaching 1 weekend, off days would be 1 weekday and 1 weekend.
