  • Develop High-Quality Scripts for Chinese Drama Craft compelling drama scripts with strong story structure, character development, and engaging narratives that align with the organization's creative vision and market demands.
  • Conduct Research for Story Development Identify, assess, and select suitable research sources; conduct primary and secondary research to support story angles.
  • Draft & Refine Scripts Assist in creating drafts of script to support the development of story elements as directed by supervisors (e.g. Head Writer/Story Planner).
  • Collaborate with the Drama Team Work closely with writers, executive producers, directors, and production personnel to deliver storylines, beats, synopses, and scripts on schedule while ensuring alignment with production requirements and creative direction.
  • Brainstorm & Pitch Concepts Support the drama team in developing original ideas, preparing concept submissions for internal and external pitching, and presenting to management.
  • Ensure Accuracy & Legal Compliance Check scripts for potential legal, compliance, and copyright issues; assist in preparing documents for legal clearance.
  • Support Talent Selection Assist in auditioning actors and participants as required.
  • Trend & Audience Research Stay updated on industry trends and audience preferences to create content that resonates with the target market.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field with 34 years of relevant experience. Diploma or A-Level holders with strong experience may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in entertainment, especially Chinese drama, with a good understanding of storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Proficient in Chinese language, both written and spoken.
  • Candidate has to come with computer literacy.
  • Skilled in writing engaging scripts with solid research abilities.
  • Strong communicator, team player, and highly passionate about storytelling in the entertainment industry.
