Job DescriptionYour responsibilities include supporting projects in the aspects of: * Transport Modelling and Analysis:
  • Conduct transport modelling and simulations to assess the impact of proposed developments using VISSIM.
  • Pedestrian Modelling and Analysis:
  • Conduct pedestrian modelling and simulations to assess impact of pedestrian flows in various spacial planning applications .
  • Holistic Sustainable Transport Planning:
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable transport strategies, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and promoting active travel options such as walking, cycling, and public transport.
  • Support the formulation of transport policies, strategies, and action plans that align with local, regional, and national objectives.
  • Work on initiatives to enhance accessibility and inclusivity within transport systems.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking and best practice assessments to provide transport recommendations .
  • Data Collection and Management:
  • Plan and Conduct surveys of various types and objectives
  • Gather and manage transport data, including traffic counts, travel surveys, etc, as required in projects.
  • Use available databases and maintain accurate records to support transport planning projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • support project managers to facilitate engagements with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, community groups, and transport providers, to gather input and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Project Support and Coordination:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and management of transport projects from inception to completion.
  • Transport Impact Assessments:
  • Prepare transport impact assessments for new developments, analyzing the potential effects on existing transport networks.
  • Recommend mitigation measures and improvements to minimize negative impacts.
  • Public Transport Planning:
  • Contribute to the planning and optimization of public transport services, including route planning, scheduling, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Evaluate the performance of public transport networks and recommend enhancements.
  • Pedestrian and Cycling Infrastructure:
  • Plan and design safe, efficient, and user-friendly pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.
  • Conduct pedestrian and cyclist flow analysis to improve accessibility and safety.
  • Report Writing and Documentation:
  • Produce high-quality reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, proposals, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Business Development
  • support in business developement and marketing activities
  • Software / Tools:
  • learn and Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) , AutoCAD, AutoTURN, SIDRA, VISUM, VISSIM, VISWALK.
  • Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in transport planning.
  • Participate in training, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
