What the role is:You will be part of the Vessel Traffic Management Department that supports the functioning of Port Operations Control Centre (POCC).What you will be working on:You will need to assist in the day-to-day operations of the POCC (with a focus on manpower planning), including:a) Managing of staff roster planning and deploymentb) Verifying staff attendance recordsc) Managing staff leave forecastd) Ensuring that all operational consoles in POCCs are mannede) Verifying allowances for staff payrollf) Ensuring that leave records in the Workforce Management System (WMS) is correctly reflected in the Cumulus Workday SystemYou will be co-ordinating the in-house/external courses for VTM Staff, while ensuring that POCC operational needs are met.You will also assist in providing administrative and logistic support during staff engagement activities, meetings, exercises and marine emergencies.What we are looking for:As the responsibilities require much interaction with both external and internal stakeholders, candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good writing and critical thinking skills.In this fast-paced job, candidate should have good time management skills and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Given the dynamic nature of the role, candidate should also be able to work independently and be willing to attend to occasional operational exigencies after office hours.Previous work experience in manpower planning and roster management will be an advantage.About Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore:"The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) was established on 2 February 1996, with the mission to develop Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre (IMC), and to advance and safeguard Singapore's strategic maritime interests.
