- Achieve and exceed annual territory sales targets, delivering the overall revenue and profit objectives of the business area.
- Design, with key stakeholders, strategic plans for the business area, ensuring that activity is both relevant and flexible to the evolving trading environment over time
- Manage resources to ensure that the structure and makeup of the team is optimal towards the success of the sales operation
- Report periodically to key stakeholders on sales progress and the business environment.
- Drive compliance with company trading and terms policy to protect profitability and value of business in the territory
- Actively liaise with other stakeholder departments or groups within the business to enhance T&F's coverage of the territory
- Maintain and build strong working relationships with Sales Agents and other business partners.
- Seek out new opportunities and customers throughout the region, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to maximize upselling potential and repeat business.
- Preferably degree level educated and a strong sales background with a proven track record for getting results
- Target driven approach and the skills to manage sales plans and delivery
- The ability to work independently and pro-actively, with awareness of when to delegate tasks
- Willingness to travel as required as required by the demands of the role and company
- Ability to create and maintain positive and effective relationships with the sales team and other internal colleagues
- Be able to build rapport with current and new customers, and foster business relationships with key decision makers
- Well-organised, and able to prioritise and manage your time to maximise results
- High level of computer literacy and digital proficiency
- Knowledge and experience of the Asia HE library markets and/or academic publishing is desirable
