Job Description:The CompanyOur client is a leading US multinational in the manufacturing industry, seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to oversee the costing function for the SEA region.The RoleReporting to the SEA Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Global Costing Leader at HQ, you will play a key role in inventory costing, variance analysis, and operational cost control.This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate closely with the accounting team, ERP team, procurement, and operations to ensure accurate cost reporting and financial integrity.
  • Manage month-end inventory costing and general journal entries.
  • Monitor daily inventory accuracy, including cycle count audits, average cost updates, and miscellaneous inventory adjustments.
  • Oversee work order management, including material usage tracking, labor and overhead application, completion status, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with procurement and operations on material purchases and Received-Not-Invoiced (RNI) tracking.
  • Support ERP system enhancements related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Provide financial insights to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Your ProfileAs the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis and cost control.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Sage X3 ERP is ideal but not a must.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across finance and operations teams.
