Business Function:Group Strategic Marketing & Communications (GSMC) is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications, marketing and research to differentiate – and elevate – our brand from the rest of the competition.Job Purpose:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our internal communication strategies and reinforcing our brand pride among employees and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing communication plans, creating engaging content, and ensuring consistent brand messaging throughout the organization.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies and plans to ensure effective communication of key messages and initiatives.
  • Create and distribute compelling content for various internal channels including emails, newsletters, intranet, etc.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to gather information and craft messages that support organizational goals and employee engagement.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and make recommendations for improvements. * Write, edit, and proofread a variety of communications materials including announcements, presentations, and articles.
  • Co-develop multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and podcasts to enhance internal communications.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of communication materials.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of company-wide meetings, town halls, and other events.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines and messaging across all communications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field with 8 to 10 years of experience in internal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).
  • Understanding of internal communication best practices and trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
