Director of Investment
1. Brief:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager/Director of Investments (Malaysia)/Country Director to lead our investment efforts in Malaysia, with a focus on land acquisition and development. The ideal candidate should have a background in property development and significant experience in investments within Malaysia, particularly in Johor Bahru (JB) and Kuala Lumpur (KL).

5. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate land acquisition opportunities for the development of condominiums, terraces, and bungalows.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies for potential investments in residential, retail, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Negotiate land purchases, leases, and joint ventures to maximize investment returns.
- Oversee the investment process from due diligence to acquisition and development planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies, consultants, and real estate partners.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting the Malaysian property market.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Lead and mentor a team to ensure efficient execution of investment initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in property development and real estate investments in Malaysia.
- Strong background in residential investments, with additional experience in retail, commercial, or industrial properties being an advantage.
- Proven track record in land acquisition, financial modelling, and investment analysis.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Malaysian real estate regulations and policies.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic investment plans.
- Strong network within the property development sector in Malaysia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Candidate Preferences:
- Preference for candidates currently working in a senior investment role for a property developer or similar profile.
- Open to candidates with extensive experience in the Malaysian real estate market.
