Job Description
A Semi-Conductor Testing Equipment Manufacturer is seeking an Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including preparation of GST returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor budget vs. actual performance.
- Audit Support: Assist in year-end audit preparation, liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyze company expenses to recommend cost-saving measures.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies to maintain the integrity of financial operations.
- ERP System Management: Utilize ERP software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial data processing.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other accounting-related tasks as required by the management.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-related environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and tax regulations. Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data entry.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
