Job Description
ENGIE Impact is seeking an Intern to support the expansion of its consulting services in the Asia Pacific region, to bring the highest standards of consulting to ENGIE Impact’s clients in Singapore and its other operating locations in Southeast Asia.
As an Intern, you will be part of a transversal team of Consultants and Analysts and be involved in a wide range of client engagements spanning different industries and sustainability topic areas, in both the public and private sector. You will typically work on one client project at a time and in teams of 3-5 consultants to identify solutions and provide recommendations to solve specific challenges faced by ENGIE Impact’s clients.
You are also encouraged to participate actively in ENGIE Impact’s various internal projects. This will allow you to gain familiarity with ENGIE Impact’s ways of working, brand-building efforts, ongoing projects with other business units, and internal processes to give you a holistic view of the business. Supporting internal projects is also key to ensuring that the business functions smoothly and efficiently, helping to build its reputation globally.
Your role has to be performed in full compliance with the ENGIE Impact’s standards in terms of Quality / Safety / Legal / Ethics.
Interns are expected to (with close support and guidance from experienced team members):
Provide advisory services to clients leveraging ENGIE Impact’s methods, tools, and assets
- Break down complex problems and solve them through qualitative and quantitative thinking
- Gather, synthesise and analyse information, through primary and secondary research, to formulate and test hypotheses
- Present ambiguous concepts effectively through visualisation and graphics through slides or other mediums
- Develop technical expertise in sustainability topics, such as renewable energy, emissions reporting and target setting standards, and decarbonisation policies and tools
- Work with ENGIE Impact’s diverse network of experts and partners to gather technical knowledge and identify innovative solutions to solve clients’ problems
Contribute actively to business and organisation development
- Participate in business development meetings to understand clients’ needs
- Develop compelling proposals to address clients’ challenges
- Support internal content development, asset creation, knowledge management and other business development efforts

- You have between 0 and 2 years’ experience in the consulting or energy sector (advantageous)
- You are passionate about environmental challenges and eager to develop and share your knowledge in sustainable energy solutions
- You are a quick and willing learner who is able to adapt to new content areas within a fast-paced environment
- You demonstrate strong advisory skills: An analytical mindset to identify client issues, creativity to lay out assumptions to build adapted solutions, and capacity to translate strategy into concrete action
- You have business strategy skills and strong commercial understanding (e.g., understanding of how to develop a business case and business models, carrying out financial analyses)
- You have data management skills (e.g., data analysis, modelling and visualisation), and experience in crafting data-driven insights
Work Set-up and Schedule:
- Interns are expected to commit to a minimum of 5 months full-time internship based in ENGIE Impact's Singapore office
- Hybrid working options available - usually 3 days in office and 2 days at home
- Hours are 9 am to 6 pm, with 1 hour lunch break, Mondays to Fridays
