We are looking for a proactive and driven Assistant Retail Supervisor to support our store operations and sales performance. In this role, you will work closely with the Retail Supervisor to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, lead the sales team by example, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in achieving the store’s or department’s sales targets and maximise profitability
- Upsell products to enhance customer purchases
- Supervise, coach, counsel, and coordinate Retail Assistants, Cashiers, and third-party staff
- Prepare the monthly roster for the sales team
- Oversee onboarding of new hires and assist with store administrative functions
- Conduct training sessions and participate in ad hoc and annual performance reviews
- Replenish and arrange merchandise, ensuring operational efficiency on the sales floor
- Participate in stock-take exercises
- Maintain excellent customer support and engagement
- Ensure the store is clean, organised, and presentable at all times
- Handle cashiering duties, including payment services such as bill payments and cash withdrawals
- Ensure proper sales documentation and accountability ash
- Step in to perform the Retail Supervisor’s responsibilities during their absence, including liaising with internal stakeholders where needed
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

- Previous retail experience preferred
