
Senior Finance Executive
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Executive to join our dynamic finance team. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. You will lead and mentor a team of finance assistants, ensuring smooth operations, timely compliance with statutory requirements, and the implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Set of Accounts Management: Oversee and manage the full set of accounting functions, including the preparation of journal entries, financial schedules, and monthly cash flow statements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise a team of accounts assistants and/or finance executives, ensuring efficient and accurate accounting processes.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly closing reports, perform variance analysis, and generate management reports to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Tax Compliance: Handle quarterly and annual tax submissions, including GST filings, estimated tax computations, and other statutory requirements.
- Payment Processing & Reconciliations: Process payments for vendor invoices, staff claims, and manage bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage bank balances to ensure sufficient funds for payments, coordinating closely with the treasury team.
- Bank Loans & Facilities: Oversee administration of bank loans and financial facilities, including loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and the settlement of periodic interest payments.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare year-end audit schedules and financial statements in compliance with Singapore's statutory regulations.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Work closely with the Managing Director to establish and maintain robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with Singaporean regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Ad-Hoc Financial Support: Assist the Managing Director with various ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to drive improvements in accounting processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the finance department.
Job Requirements:
- Qualifications: LCCI/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACCA or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar finance or accounting role, with a proven track record of handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with keen attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a positive, collaborative approach to managing teams.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Work Eligibility: Singaporean or Permanent Resident preferred.
- Availability: Immediate availability or the ability to start with short notice is an advantage.
