Logistics Director
The incumbent will manage the company's entire supply chain, oversee logistics planning, inventory management, budgeting, staffing, and continuous optimization of operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Planning: develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with business goals, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
Operations Management: oversee all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to final delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Transportation Management: oversee the transportation of goods, negotiate contracts with carriers, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Warehousing Management: manage warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Budgeting and Cost Control: develop and manage the logistics budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track expenses to ensure profitability.
The Successful Applicant
• Extensive experience in a logistics role with a proven track record in logistics strategy and management, often not less than 10 years, including several years in a leadership role.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
• Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
