About Wu Song Capital

Wu Song Capital is a private investment office that backs promising startups across Asia, blending venture capital with hands-on incubation. In addition to working with startups, we are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions, identifying and structuring strategic deals that drive long-term growth.

Unlike traditional finance roles, our work is fast-paced, immersive, and deeply entrepreneurial. This internship provides exposure to both the investment and operational aspects of building businesses. Interns will work directly with our founder a rare opportunity that comes with high expectations and a steep learning curve.

The Role: More Than Just Finance

As an Impact Investment & Startup Intern, you will be at the frontlines of sourcing and evaluating deals while also gaining firsthand exposure to business operations. This role extends beyond financial analysis; you will actively engage with entrepreneurs, assess market opportunities, and contribute to investment decisions.

We believe that the best investors do not just analyse businesses—they build them. That is why interns are required to spend time working on weekends at our founder’s children’s charity. This hands-on experience provides a deeper understanding of social impact, an essential consideration in investment strategy.

This role is not confined to an office setting. While interns will work remotely from Singapore, they should be prepared to travel across Asia when opportunities arise. Exposure to different startup ecosystems is an integral part of this internship.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Market Research & Due Diligence – Analyse industries, review business models, and assess financials to identify viable investment opportunities.
  2. Scouting & Sourcing – Identify high-potential startups and M&A opportunities, conduct outreach, and build relationships with founders.
  3. Investment Process Support – Assist in preparing investment memos, presentations, and internal reports for decision-making.
  4. Travel & Startup Immersion – Work remotely while based in Singapore, with opportunities for travel across Asia for market research and business engagements.
  5. Hands-On Teaching – Participate in our founder’s children’s charity on weekends to gain direct exposure to social impact.
