About the role

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overviewing and analysing the operational performance of the site infrastructure and providing direction on engineering problems, initiating, and facilitating (coordinating the engineering design) infrastructural improvement/development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and maintain capacity plans to determine current requirements and determine future upgrades of infrastructure. This will require the preparation of Engineering Guidance Notes setting out the issues and proposals.
  • Identify key risks and help to plan and mitigate against those risks to ensure continuity of work.
  • Work with the Operations team on energy performance monitoring, preparation of reports and initiating projects to improve energy efficiency / PUE.
  • Work with the site and Engineering Director to assist and develop continual improvement.
  • Analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid Data Centre design/ operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E works and local authority approval process.
  • The ability to work accurately and consistently under pressure, and can identify and quantify risks for remediation.
  • A relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma with a solid understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
