POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic, eager to learn, Furniture Sales & Design Representative to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring they are guided through the sales and design process with expertise and care. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail furniture industry and the ability to communicate product features with both technical and aesthetic clarity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CLIENT COUNSELLING

  • Welcoming and meeting customers in the showroom, introducing them to our brands and products, discussing their needs, requirements and preferences.
  • Advise on space planning, materials, colors and furnishings.
  • Build and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients to drive sales and repeat business.
  • Proactively reach out to architects, designers, and other professionals in the design industry to build partnerships and attract new business.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing design concepts and ideas in line with the project vision and client requirements.
  • Prepare detailed design plans, including sketches and technical drawings.
  • Competently source reference material and carry out research to ensure that materials and products are suitable for the purpose.
  • Collaborate with the showroom team to ensure effective visual merchandising and product displays.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Provide advice and support to the client in the selection of fixtures and fittings, finishes and furniture.
  • Co-ordination and liaison with architects, contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless implementation of the design plan.
  • Assisting on-site meetings including site measurements, adjustments to address any discrepancies or improvements needed and ensuring the final output aligns.
  • Participate in project communication, including liaison with the design and construction team.

CLIENT PRESENTATION

  • Attend and assist with the presentation of the design concept with the Project Manager and proposals to the client.
  • Summarize meeting discussions and act on them for the next steps of the project to revise the designs based on client feedback and preferences.
  • Assist with after sales service, including addressing any issues or concerns after completion.

KEY PROFILE QUALITIES

  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents will be considered
  • Strong creative vision, attention to detail and passion for creativity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills for a luxury clientele
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity and interest in the latest design trends and materials
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design software is a plus.
  • A background in interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
