Shipping Admin Executive
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Review/verify freight invoices, submit the accurate invoices for approval before sending for processing payment
2. Coordinate with Carriers/Freight Forwarders to resolve any issues regarding invoice errors/discrepancies
3. Enter accurate freight data including freight invoice and freight booking note into Non-Commodity Trading System (NCTS) on timely basis
4. Generate reports from NCTS to assess and evaluate the freight hedging and forecasting process
5. Participate in shipment booking/liner nomination works as and when assigned by Supervisor
6. Assist with shipping related traffic issues as and when needed/directed
7. Perform shipping related work (covering duties for other shipping executives) as and when directed, with a view to progress to higher end related shipping/logistics responsibilities
Job Requirements
1. At least GCE ‘O’ level/Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chains
2. Minimum 3 years’ working experience in similar capacuty. Prior working experience in palm oil/commodity logistics industry will be a plus
3. Good knowledge/experience in container shipping invoicing/AR/AP/common terminology used in container shipping environment e.g. Inco-terns and import and export regulation
4. Able to work independently under tight schedule
5. Must have initiative and proactive in problem solving
