Job DescriptionThis role plays a key role in building a culture of continuous improvement within SingPost One Finance with influence across the enterprise.This critical leadership role will support SingPost One Finance’s aspiration to be a highly efficient and value focused finance function. SingPost has embarked on an ambitious finance transformation project over the last 18 months, achieving many of the envisaged milestones across People, Process and Systems, particularly the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) system, complementary technologies and associated processes but there exists a need to continue to stabilize, enhance and maximize these investments for the long term.The candidate will be responsible for leading and managing process improvement initiatives across SingPost finance and business units. This role will involve establishing and maintaining a structured approach to process governance, and work with finance and business leaders to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, implement process changes, track and report on results.The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading process improvement initiatives, be well-versed in process improvement tools and methodologies, and have excellent project management skills. This individual can be strategic, that is being able to see the big picture while also being able to pay attention to the details needed to implement change effectively. As this is a leadership role, you will also need to champion change as well as charter and move the teams to embrace emerging technologies as well as new processes that will continue to change the way we work.ResponsibilitiesContinuous ImprovementWork with the broader finance team as well as our Group Digital and Technology team to plan and execute a continuous improvement plan and handle all aspects of change management. This plan will also involve both elevating system knowledge as well as the competencies of the finance teams through curating learning and development opportunities with HR.Along with the Continuous improvement mandate, work with the finance teams to ensure good corporate governance, compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act and any other applicable laws and regulations of the Company and the Group.Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.Managing Finance Technology StackWork with our outsourced Application Managed Services team as well as our Group Digital and Technology team in handling Oracle-related queries (including understanding critical technology and functional issues and having the tenacity to handle and resolving issues), and along with the team act as the main point of contact for One Finance and the rest of business.Depending on the complexity of enhancement, plan and execute system enhancements either in-house or in partnership with external consultants.Project ManagementPartner with Group Digital and Technology to manage key finance technology enhancement projects following the deployment of our Oracle Fusion ERP, Enterprise Performance Management (“EPM”) as well as revenue management and billing systemWork with external consultants to ensure deadlines of these projects are met and issues are proactively addressedWork with Group Digital Technologies to report the progress of projects and ensure that projects deliver value as planned.RequirementsA relevant bachelor’s degree in finance with professional qualification (CA, CPA preferred)At least 15 years of working experience preferably a few years of working in either a Big 4 or a consulting organization, prior to transitioning into a commercial environment.Experienced in managing a large shared-service center or a controllership function as well as heading a process and system excellence function including managing transformation/ change and continuous improvement in a large organization is preferred. Ample leadership experience is important.Good working knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP as well as EPM with some implementation experience will be a bonus.Soft SkillsAnalytical Thinking: Ability to understand complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights for system/process improvement.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, finance, and operations teams to implement changes.Change Management: Ability to manage change and lead the adoption of new processes or systems within the finance team.Preferred QualitiesAdaptability: Ability to adjust to rapidly changing business and technology environments.Leadership: Strong leadership and mentorship skills if managing a team or driving initiatives.Attention to Detail: Precision in financial systems and process details to ensure optimal outcome
