Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India. The role will involve initiating new engagements and managing existing relationships with banks, fintech companies, networks, and large enterprise merchants for Razorpay Engage's suite of services.

Location: Singapore

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management:

  • Initiating New Engagements: Establish new partnerships with banks, fintech companies, networks, and large enterprise merchants to expand Razorpay Engage's reach.
  • Managing Existing Relationships: Nurture and strengthen existing partnerships to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual growth.

Ecosystem Development:

  • Banking Ecosystem: Develop distribution channels within the banking ecosystem to enhance the availability and accessibility of Razorpay Engage's services.
  • Merchant Ecosystem: Create a robust supply of services by integrating with the merchant ecosystem, ensuring seamless delivery of offers and experiences.

Value Proposition Creation (Program Design):

  • Core Card Value Proposition (CVP): Curate compelling CVPs that highlight the benefits of partnering with Razorpay Engage, focusing on enhanced customer engagement and retention.
  • Campaigns and Offers: Design and execute targeted campaigns and offers that leverage the banking and merchant ecosystems to drive customer engagement.
  • Exclusive Experiences: Develop exclusive experiences for customers by combining the strengths of both ecosystems.
  • Reward Programs: Implement reward programs that incentivize customer loyalty and retention.
  • Contextual Programs: Create contextual programs that deliver personalized experiences to customers at the right moment, enhancing their interaction with both banks and merchants.
  • Build “Exclusive to Razorpay” Ecosystem

Commercial Negotiation & Onboarding:

  • Lead end-to-end commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract closures with merchants.
  • Define revenue models, incentive structures, and merchant discount frameworks to ensure program profitability.
  • Oversee merchant onboarding and integration, working closely with internal product and tech teams for seamless execution.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including banking partnerships, product, marketing, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of programs.
  • Explore how Razorpay's payment & product stack in India, be adopted & consumed in various aspects across South East Asia.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to scale successful programs across different geographies.
  • Provide insights on regional consumer spending trends and competitive benchmarking to refine program strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in banking/merchant partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances in banking, fintech, or loyalty program domains.
  • Strong understanding of banking loyalty programs, card-linked offers, and merchant-funded benefits.
  • Expertise in commercial negotiations and structuring high-impact partnerships with large enterprises.
  • Experience working across South East Asia markets, with deep knowledge of regional merchant ecosystems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with a strategic and execution-focused mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive data-driven insights and optimize partnership performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
