Job Summary

Business Development Manager

  • Base Location: Singapore or Hong Kong.
  • This role involves frequent travel to Mainland China to meet with clients and partners.

This role requires a deep understanding of the needs of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), strategic channel development, and the ability to represent Huahai Consult in cross-border contexts. Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Identify and develop new client relationships with HNWIs and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs). Promote Huahai Consult’s family office services, including wealth planning, succession planning, and cross-border investment strategies.

  • Channel Development: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with high-end associations, professional firms (e.g., legal and accounting firms), immigration and study abroad agencies, and other key stakeholders in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and beyond.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Understand and analyze the specific requirements and preferences of HNWIs from Mainland China, ensuring services are tailored to meet their expectations.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with both partners and clients, ensuring satisfaction and trust. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to provide seamless service delivery.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and risks. Provide insights and feedback to shape service offerings and strategies.
  • Travel frequently to Mainland China for client engagement, events, and networking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on day-to-day client solutions and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, preferably in wealth management, financial services, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with the needs and preferences of HNWIs from Mainland China.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage strategic channels such as associations, professional firms, and study abroad companies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between Singapore/Hong Kong and Mainland China.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with HNWIs and partners.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for interacting with the target clientele.
