Mechanical Services Intern – Aftersales Operations

Role Summary: As a Mechanical Team Intern, you will support the team in various projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing vehicle movement, improving service center processes, and streamlining fleet servicing. You will collaborate closely with service advisors, workshop controllers, technicians, and project managers to implement data-driven solutions that improve service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Traffic Management & Vehicle Movement Optimization: Analyze vehicle flow, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements (e.g., optimized bay assignments, signage). Collaborate with service teams to implement and measure changes.
  • OBU Installation & Optimization: Review OBU installation process, streamline workflows, and improve accuracy. Collect data, assist in best practice documentation, and suggest customer experience improvements.
  • Fleet Project Management: Support fleet scheduling, track service KPIs, and develop reporting mechanisms to improve communication with fleet customers.
  • Kaizen Projects – Process & Service Improvement: Identify process pain points, conduct root cause analysis, implement small-scale improvements, and track results for scalability.

General Expectations:

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to understand aftersales operations.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to propose solutions.
  • Present findings to management at the end of the internship.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Hands-on experience in service center operations and mechanical project management.
  • Skills in problem-solving, process improvement, and project management.

Requirements:

  • Current pursuing Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and automotive operations.
  • Previous internship or project experience in automotive or operations.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen or continuous improvement methods is preferred
