What the role is:The Waste infrastructure Operations and Management Division (WIOMD) oversees the operation and maintenance of all NEA waste management infrastructure. WIOMD also manages privately-operated waste-to-energy (WTE) plants under Public Private Partnership (PPP) schemes.What you will be working on:You will work as a Weighbridge officer in Tuas South Incineration Plant to ensure a smooth traffic flow of refuse collection vehicles and provide good customer services to the refuse collectors at the weighbridge.You will be responsible for the following:To monitor daily weighing of all refuse collection vehicles and ensure data was captured accurately into the computer system.To monitor the refuse vehicles daily and to alert supervisor/ operations staff whenever there was smoke, strong chemical smell emitting from the container.To handle daily weighing of trucks carrying scrap metal and ash, ensuring the ash vehicles does not exceed its Maximum Laden Weight (MLW).To print and check of daily reports, forms and important circulars.To assist drivers and MOP on enquiry and explaining plant's fee charging and operational rule.What we are looking for:At least attained N level certificateAt least 1-2 years of working experience in administration work with customer service is preferredOutgoing and pleasant personality; mature and independentIntegrity and good interpersonalTeam playerWillingly to perform shift duties, especially on permanent evening shift is preferredProficient in Basic computer literacyAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
