Job Description:
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data within OCIS and the University, maintenance schedules, and operational costs to provide actionable insights that enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Process Automation: Automate data collection and reporting processes and generate insights to support decision-making.
  • Dashboard Development and Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards using data visualization tools like Power BI to provide real-time insights and support data-driven decision-making across the campus.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: Work closely with teams within OCIS, IT department, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration, break down data silos and provide insights to achieve departmental objectives and goals.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, managing data documentation, coordinating meetings, maintaining records to ensure smooth operations with the team and department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics Computer Science, IT or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 year in data engineering or relevant IT experience.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Excel)
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is essential.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
  • Ability to work with unstructured data and perform text analytics.
  • Background in statistics would be useful
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
  • Understand the importance of business context
  • Ideally with prior experience in managing real estate, facilities or engineering data.
  • Able to articulate data insights aligned with business intent
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
