- Provide support to BRC users both onsite (e.g., at BRC locations) and remotely (e.g., via email) on business and entrepreneurship topics.
- Offer assistance in using library databases for business planning and research.
- Advise users on external resources, including government programs, public sector initiatives, tools, and grants.
- Keep users updated on the services and programs available at BRC.
- Work in collaboration with the library and its partners to plan and execute BRC-related activities.
- Develop and refresh content for BRC across both onsite and digital platforms, including:
- Writing and updating articles and resource guides focused on business and entrepreneurship.
- Recommending pertinent online and library resources.
- Creating detailed and comprehensive resource guides.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate business programs, workshops, and training sessions.
- Specialists will be assigned to multiple libraries
- Specialists are expected to travel to various libraries and partner locations to perform their duties, with the possibility of visiting up to two sites in one day
- Specialists will also be responsible for covering each other's duties across different libraries and NLB partner locations.
- Promote and introduce Launch services at library and partner premises during programs or events.
- Represent the organization as speakers at events, with specialists' names potentially featured in publicity materials and online platforms.
- Specialists may have their photographs or videos taken, recorded, or live-streamed during programs for documentation and promotional purposes. These materials may be shared publicly via library and partner websites, online platforms, and other communication channels.
- Specialists will carry out outreach activities related to the Launch service, organized by library and its partners.
- Specialists must consent to all forms of publicity, including the use of their full name and photographs, in connection with these activities.
- Specialists may be photographed or video-recorded during outreach activities, and such materials may be shared publicly through various media channels of library and its partners, including websites, social media, promotional materials, and publications.
- Specialists will perform all Launch-related duties and outreach activities at any library and its partner premises.
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business Management from a recognized university
- 2 - 5 years of relevant working experience
- Comfortable to travel to different sites
- Previous experience in business environments such as business development, strategic planning, social media, marketing, or start-ups is highly preferred.
- Motivated, creative, and resourceful, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in team settings.
- Service-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
- Good research skills and able to synthesize and present information succinctly
- Good writing skills for creating relevant content for the BRC digital platform
- Good knowledge of the business needs of aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, professional freelancers and small businesses
