Regional Market Manager (Filtration, Japanese Speaking) - Work from Japan

- Working hours: 08:30 – 17:30 (flexible starting time)
Scope of Position:
Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of market outreach and sensing initiatives that enhance the company's positioning and product offerings in both strategic and opportunistic markets. This will be achieved through a sales-oriented approach that leverages products with proven value propositions, grounded in reliable and coordinated market sensing results, along with in-depth application knowledge. Furthermore, the role will involve bridging market insights to the industry manager by specifying market requirements, identifying regional needs through comprehensive market research, and engaging with customers and prospects about the broader global context. Additionally, this will include strengthening the sales force by providing training and guidance, promoting best practices, and effectively managing interfaces with global sales and business counterparts.
Key responsibilities of the position:
- Management and execution of regional market sensing activities
- Knowing the industries and addressable application within
- Driving the direction for a focused sales approach in cooperation with the sales manager
- Inputs on budget and sales targets
- Support of activities in related Time-to-Market projects
- Management of regional trial activities (definition, initiation, follow-up)
- Distribution of industry and application intelligence/knowledge within sales regions
- Supports and educates the regional sales and marketing organizations
- Collection and multiplication of success stories within the regions
- Supports the industry manager in the definition of the product offering to the industry
Performance expectations
- Management and execution of regional market sensing and market reach activities
- Detects, understands, and consolidates the needs of the application in detail, including addressable
market potential - Knows all applications of the industry in detail by flow charts, characteristics of processes and use
of equipment - Understand similarities and differences of applications to other countries and regions
- Knows the key players such as end-customer and OEM, decision-making process and strategies,
competition and respective value proposition - Develops and executes regional business and sales initiatives based on the evaluation of markets,
trends and competition in close co-operation with the sales organization - Build-up of detailed region-specific industry and related application knowledge comprising of used
filtration equipment or machine types, filtration processes, filtration products and filter media - Document and support single sales opportunities that will produce sales growth
- Regular communication and documentation as and where required
- Other activities and responsibilities as assigned by Management
- Business Level of English is required to liaise with English-speaking internal stakeholders in Singapore
- Business-level Japanese is required to liaise with Japanese-speaking internal and external stakeholders in Japan
