Job Description:

1. Responsible for performing routine and non-routine tests and analyses, and preparing reports using specific formats.

2. Assist in developing existing analytical procedures.

3. Receive, label, and store lab samples to be tested.

4. Record and report lab results.

5. Discuss and answer any questions regarding lab results.

6. Manage laboratory inventory and equipment to ensure operational requirements are met at all times. This includes maintaining consumables/spare parts inventory, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance planning.

7. Responsible for managing the purchase order process and quotations preparation for lab equipment and instruments.

8. Clean and maintain lab equipment, including recalibrating of the equipment.

9. Maintain equipment records and daily work logs.

10. Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering

2. Minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant field

3. Proficiency in MS Office

4. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

5. Positive attitude and willingness to learn

6. Experience in Water Quality Testing: Candidates with previous experience in water quality testing, such as pH, gas chromatography (GC), water content measurement, density determination, and chemical oxygen demand (COD).

7. Understanding of Computerized Laboratory Equipment: Familiarity with using and maintaining computerized lab equipment is an advantage.

8. Adherence to Instructions and Procedures: Must be capable of consistently following detailed instructions and established procedures.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 per month
