Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -1) Class Timetabling
- Manage class timetable scheduling of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Department, including collation of special requirements for specific teaching venues and timeslots, external lecturer availability, etc., from programme directors and course coordinators, as well as update course offerings for new academic year and mounting of courses in the timetabling system.
- Update class timetable changes as and when required and provide support in the booking of venues for lecturers, and collation of quota requests.
- Manage end-to-end process of course registration and course allocation exercise, which includes preparation of data and setting up the workload in the module registration; mounting the modules in the system for students to register, registration of students into the courses, adjust course quota during the module registration exercises and handle course related appeals from students.
- Manage all aspects of and provide administrative support relating to undergraduate and postgraduate continual assessments and examinations. These include keying in the examination requirements and invigilators for courses with examinations into the Class and Examination Timetabling System, ensuring that examination courses are allocated with timeslots and the right examination venues and that the examination venues are well prepared for examinations as well as allocation of venues and invigilators to Accessibility Support and Accommodations (ASA) students.
- Possess a good degree from a local university.
- The successful candidate is expected to be meticulous and pays attention to details.
- Related work experience in administration will be useful for this application.
- Proficiency in general software applications that facilitate work operations such as Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other productivity tools. Ability to learn new systems and processes.
