Part Time Curriculum Content Creator (Primary & Secondary English) - Hybrid Work Arrangement

As a Part-Time Curriculum Content Creator at The Alternative Story (T.A.S.), you will be taking up exciting projects where you can take part in developing learning materials for our English tuition classes. You may also have the chance to develop content for our social media platforms to help engage our target audience.

In this role, you will be given exposure to projects and tasks in various departments such as Curriculum, Training, Marketing and Administration. You will be able to hone your communication and presentation skills, which are useful for working life in future!
Required Qualifications
- Distinction scores in English Language
- Owns a working laptop or desktop with Microsoft Office or MacOS Pages software
- Strong English language foundation
- Responsible, independent and driven to improve yourself
- Willing to go the extra mile to produce excellent work requiring minimal edits
- Energetic and having a joyful attitude
- Teachable, open to feedback and quick to change
- Technologically and digitally savvy, preferably well-versed in Microsoft Office, MacBook OS, PDF formatting, social media and digital design apps such as Canva and marketing communication trends
- Singaporeans holding GCE A-Level qualifications or equivalent (Polytechnic or Junior College students and University undergraduates are welcome to apply)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with the PSLE Primary School and O-level Secondary School English syllabus and its challenges
- Students (A-level graduates or current university undergraduates)
- Has design skills and owns an iPad with Apple pencil
Other Details of the Role
- Work on-site once a week for 1-2 hours at least once a month or when necessary
- For other days of the week - work from home / remotely, with occasional in-person meetings or training sessions where necessary
- Attend Zoom calls for communication and training purposes where necessary
- Work at least 5 hours a week (allocation of hours within week is flexible and can be discussed)
- Commit for at least 6 months

About The Alternative Story
We are an English and Creative Writing Tuition Centre for Primary School children. Since 2008, our passion has been to make learning come alive in our classrooms. We seek to inspire in our students a proficiency and appreciation for the English language that sets them up for success in academics and in life.
